Welcome! This page is dedicated to the sling accessories I make. You will find instructions below along with some info about the design process.
Design Process
These two items took massive amounts of design work, iteration, and product testing 👀.
The paper towel holder started off with a vertical ripper attached to the base. That worked great for tearing and security, but it was a nightmare to reload/reinsert the sheet if someone pulled too hard. From there, I tried several complete revisions of that style before determining it was never going to work as needed.
That is why I turned to the two piece design that I use now! It is very easy to reload/reset the sheet if someone pulls too hard. It is even less likely for the sheet to need reset in the first place because the arm is floating and moves to where it needs to be.
The lube holder was really tricky to design. Initial concepts had a stepped interior so bottles would slide to the depth that they could and become secure, but the smallest bottles would go the deepest and that would not work out right. Plus, it would have been way more material, more time to print, and much more finicky. Older versions had no tray or hook and the inner springs were too long or short.
I finally landed on this design using foam strips and printed spring arms to hold on to the bottles. Once it was functioning right, I added the drain hole int he base and removes some geometry in the spring arm grooves that would have held liquids and made it harder to clean.
I am proud of where I have landed with these products and I always have to thank my friends and customers for helping with feedback and suggestions. So, if you have anything you'd like to add or suggest, let me know!
